About
Physical culture has always been dear to me. My passion started when I would watch my dad strike the punching bag and lift weights in Buffalo, New York. As my interest in fitness grew, my mom offered tremendous love and support. I enjoyed sports and began training in an effort to improve performance. My journey has been dynamic as opposed to static, and my interests have evolved over time. I have pursued bodybuilding, powerlifting, running, cycling, and other forms of exercise.
My varying pursuits forced me to dial in my nutritional practices. I had to master weight manipulation as I competed in various disciplines weighing between 165 and 230 lbs. I learned much about biochemistry, endocrinology, nutritional strategies, and the affects of inflammation on the body.
The knowledge I accumulated through the years via pubmed, coursework, and practical application allowed me to register a 570 lb squat, 430 lb bench press, and 501 lb deadlift in the American Powerlifting Federation, graduate from the college of health sciences at Appalachian State University, obtain a job in the healthcare field, and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Physical fitness has offered so much throughout my life, and I would like to extend its lessons and benefits to any individual wishing to live a healthier lifestyle as personally defined. Process Wellness is an endeavor to give, educate, and encourage.
